Hellllooo! I’m Flor, full time dekubowl enthusiast. This is my first time modding a zine but I’m super heckin pumped to put everything I’ve got into it! My favorite Deku rarepair is either shindeku or hatsudeku but every Deku ship has a special place in my heart. I’m so excited to see all the love Deku gets with this zine! <3

Hey there! I'm Mod Muse, a twenty-two year old college student aspiring to break into the publishing industry. I have been writing for over twelve years now and betaing for about three or four. This is along with betaing several zines, including One in a Million, Wonder Duo: Rising, and A Winter Dawn. I'm excited for this zine because it's a fantastic opportunity to explore the many relationship dynamics that Izuku has to offer. HOW WILL CONTRIBUTORS BE COMPENSATED?
If sales permit, all contributors will receive a physical copy of the zine and its merchandise. All contributors are entitled to a complimentary copy of our digital zine PDF and our digital merch. After covering expenses, any leftover profits will be divided among contributors and moderators. Payments will be via PayPal.
WHAT IS EXPECTED OF CONTRIBUTORS?
All contributors are expected to be present for the entire production period, providing check-ins as required and properly communicating with Mods any questions, concerns or circumstances that will prevent them from their zine role’s responsibilities. The zine is centered around Deku in a wide variety of ships and every piece should comply with this objective. There should be no more than 2 pieces featuring the same ship for each zine section!
WILL THIS ZINE ACCEPT TRADITIONAL ART?
Yes, we plan to accept traditional art so long as it is scanned in with a resolution of 300 dpi or greater. If you plan on contributing traditional art to the zine, please link some of your previous traditional-style pieces in your portfolio!
SFW OR NSFW?
The zine will be NSFW, with the first half being entirely SFW and the second half being NSFW.
IS THIS ZINE FOR PROFIT OR CHARITY?
For profit, to be divided evenly between mods and contributors.
WILL THE ZINE INCLUDE ANIME AND/OR MANGA CONTENT?
Content from both the anime and manga is allowed!
ARE GEN PIECES ALLOWED?
All pieces must include a romantic aspect – that doesn’t mean the characters have to get together/be together. It can be as simple as a character having an unrequited crush.
HOW WILL YOU ENSURE THAT ONE OR TWO SHIPS WON’T DOMINATE THE ZINE?
We’ll be implementing a ship limit.
HOW MANY CONTRIBUTORS ARE THERE?
We have 37 contributors! 25 page artists, 6 merch artists, and 6 writers.
WILL YOU BE ALLOWING ADULT / MINOR PAIRINGS?
We want the zine to be inclusive of all Deku ships. As such, all pairings will be allowed in this zine. Ships like Shigadeku and Dekuhawks are welcome so long as Deku is aged up to at least 18.
WHAT CONTENT WILL NOT BE ALLOWED?
Noncon, major character death, bodily fluids (urine, vomit, scat, blood), vore, and alternate universe pieces (as this zine will focus on canon).

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR WHEN REVIEWING APPS:
Given the zine's NSFW rating, all applicants must be 18+ to participate. Artist and writer applications will be reviewed by all mods respectively. Applications will be ranked based on a rubric system before being fielded for discussion by all mods. In general, we are looking for contributors with passion for the project and our desire to make this zine something great!
ARTISTS
ARTIST APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS:
- Three pieces that showcase your best work
- At least one sample must be BNHA, a Deku feature is recommended but not required
- All samples must be finished pieces with background
- A portfolio
ARTIST APPLICANT RUBRIC:
- Artistic Style: Does the artist have a unique style that creates an unforgettable experience for the viewer? Do they incorporate their own ideas or follow the fandom norms?
- Characterization: Are characters depicted more or less as dictated canon? Do they interact with other characters or their environment in a manner that one might find reasonable?
- Structure: Does the artist construct a visceral image of the setting? Do backgrounds and objects follow thoughtful proportions? Are backgrounds in this sample suitably complex for the purposes of the zine?
- Emotion: Is the artist able to construct scenes and character expressions that convey depth of emotion? Would a non-artist be able to discern how a character is feeling in the depiction?
- Conventions: Are conventions such as color theory, balance in value, composition, etc. being followed?
WRITERS
WRITER APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS:
- Three pieces that showcase your best work
- At least one sample must be BNHA, a Deku feature is recommended but not required
- All samples must be at least 1k with no more than 9k combined
- A portfolio
WRITER APPLICANT RUBRIC:
- Voice: Does the writer have a unique style that creates an unforgettable experience for the reader? Do they incorporate their own ideas or follow the fandom norms?
- Characterization: Are characters depicted more or less as dictated canon? Do they interact with other characters or their environment in a manner that one might find reasonable?
- Description: Does the writer paint a visceral image of the setting? Does the writer choose their words carefully to bring across an intended effect?
- Romance: Is the writer able to construct effective romance scenes? Are romance scenes cookie-cutter and repetitive or heart-racing and page-turning?
- Convention: Do they have competent grammar/punctuation?
